I do believe that law enforcement agencies should continue to conduct empirical research to evaluate their initiatives or strategies because we see that the idea of empirical research law as legality grew out of—and has further promoted—much current research on legal consciousness (Cheek, pp. 375-409), exploring how law is experienced, understood, and enacted by people in their interactions with formal-legal authorities and in their everyday lives in an empirical ways.
