Introduction

Drugs are a major force of influence in our country today. The problem was so out of control that many options are being considered for control or even solve it. Ending the war against drugs seems to be impossible. The war on drugs seems to be the fulfillment of many, but this is not true. Various options should be considered. Although many people think that legalizing marijuana would increase the amount of use, marijuana should be legalized because it will reduce the large sums of money devoted to the execution, and increase our revenues countries. There are also many benefits that can be uncovered to help people if legalization of marijuana is a chance.

Analysis

Legalizing marijuana would increase revenue for our economy. During alcohol prohibition was still sold and used, but people were illegally. The 21st amendment banning taxes repealed and alcohol were increased. The same should happen with marijuana. Marijuana should be taxed heavily to increase our revenues. Marijuana would be made by the same people who are aspirin if the quality is assured, containing no poisons or adulterants (Barbier et al, 1997). Making marijuana legal will reduce the amount of money spent on many application each year. Drug dealers and users are one step ahead of the execution process. If one drug lord is taken, another will appear elsewhere (Barber et al, 1997).

In lifting the ban on the use of marijuana and treated like other drugs such as tobacco and alcohol, the nation would reap immediate benefits and long term.
