How does Columbus describe the islands and its people?

Columbus described the island as exceedingly fertile, surrounded with many bays. He stated that the island is surrounded by many large rivers, and contains many lofty mountains. He described the place as extremely stunning followed by presence of astonishing sceneries. He asserted the presence of various kinds of trees; majority of them were extremely tall in nature.
