Dear Senator Manchin,

H.R. 941 is an act of Medicare Respiratory Therapy Initiative Act of 2011 in which title XVIII of the Social Security Act needs to be amended in order to provide coverage of Medicare services. These services will be mainly focused on respiratory therapist, who will cover the area of physician supervision.

Recently, Medicare has been recognizing many practitioners who were non-physician such as nurse practitioners and physician assistant. They provide services without the help of physician who happen to be present in the office. My concern ...
