“Management skills refer to the competencies a manager holds to undertake their role effectively”

Introduction

For a manager to excel in the field of the most widely used and broadly practiced tool, management skills are a most critical asset any manager is ought to adopt. It must be excerpted that in today's modern world, it is amongst the most important attempts that must be undertaken by any manager, who wishes to work and survive in the long-term while serving in an organization.

Management and leadership go hand-in-hand these days; as companies and competitors join hands and work upon the model of collaboration, practicing managerial skills is among the key measures and are directly proportional to a manager's acceleration or separation within the organization.

Business models and integrations would become so complex, with the passage of time, that no single company or enterprise shall prevail and stand out as the master, forcing and compelling companies to merge and deliver synergetic efforts and simultaneously deliver quality products and services to its customer for a vast customer base and assured long-term sustainability for the company.

This results in resistance to change and performing up to the standards set by the organization, causing dissonance and distress for the employee and the management and leading to clashes and misunderstandings that cannot be resolved (Gagné & Edward, 2006, ...
