Abstract

Our company has been taken over by a multinational company and I have recently joined the company. This organizational transformation will inherit many changes which will definitely affect the stakeholders. Among those stakeholders the previous employees will be among those who are affected the most. I will formulate various strategies in order to help the previous employees get settled down with the new management. Obviously there will some hiring and firing process also that will be initiated. My effort will be to minimize the firing of employee and get them motivated to work with the new management. I will be working on various strategies which will include a change management process. I will be establishing various processes to help the new management to hire potential employees and train the employees with potential. This who process will also include formulation plans that can help the multinational managers to understand the local culture and communicate to the stake holders in a better way. For any multinational organization it is very important to initially learn the local culture and get knowledge about the local tradition, as this will help them to communicate their goals and objective effectively and efficiently. Major focus of my strategy formulation in this writing includes recruitment and selection process, retention strategies and training and development procedures at all levels of organization to clearly communicate organizational goals and its attainment in an effective manner.

Introduction

I have been hired in an organization which is going through an organizational transformation. The reason behind this transformation is the takeover of this company by a multinational company. Like every company his company will also face some challenges due to take over. This includes increase in employee turnover rate, new hiring, restructuring of business strategies and processes. My work is to assist the organization through this transformation and formulate strategies for recruitment and selection, retention and helping the new managers to cope up with the culture and environment of the organization. The company which is bought is named Zeniron Incorporation and the buying company name is Talisman Incorporation. These names are hypothetical names and any similarity will be mere an accident. Talisman is a Malaysian company and Zeniron is a UK based IT company.

The main purpose of this take over is that Talisman wants to establish their network in UK and Zaniron already is working in the same field with strong clientele. Zeniron board of directors found it an opportunity to o become multinational without investing. Whereas they will also be able to get international exposure as Talisman has its network in 8 countries other than Malaysia including United States, Canada, India, Australia, South Africa, Indonesia and Pakistan, despite of the fact that Talisman belongs to diversified culture but the culture of United Kingdom is a different culture and the management needs someone to help them to understand the culture of UK.
