ABSTRACT

In this study we try to explore the concept of “human resource management construction industry Iran” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “employee motivation, recruitment and selection and training and development” and its relation with “Iran construction industry”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “HRM” and tries to gauge its effect on “construction industry”. The objectives of this research were to understand whether the motivation and employee engagement process within the construction Industry in Iran can be changed; this objective aims to illustrate the differences between construction industry in Iran and Western countries and to examine whether the Western ideas can be applied. To see the extent to which the selection and recruitment process within the construction Industry in Iran can be changed; this objectives aims to analyze the selection and recruitment process within the construction industry in western countries and the way in which it differs from those in Iran. Furthermore, it will try to examine whether this process can be changed in Iran. To understand whether the training and development process within the construction industry in Iran can be changed; this objective aims to compare the training and development process within the construction industry in western countries to Iran and examine the whether this process can be changed in Iran to improve performance and efficiency. The research results showed that the western principles of HRM apply completely in Iran construction industry.
