John Lewis Company is one of the largest retails business companies of the Unites Kingdom with doing business in several areas, which are departmental stores of about 28, of about 4 home stores, John Lewis websites, and Waitrose supermarket of about 235, Convenience stores of about 15, Waitrose.com, business to business contracts all over UK and abroad (Mccallion , J, 2011).

The biggest quality of John Lewis is that it has one of the largest employees network across 75000 of which most of them are John Lewis business partners, hence being the policy of John Lewis Company that every one works in the company feels like the owner. as that person has the share in the profits of the business, have authority to access all the information of the company and take active part in all the management policies by giving their suggestion in every forum (Mccallion, J, 2011).

The management of the business believes that all its partners are there assets and has played the vital role in the growth of the company for the past 80 years and these partners are our source of competitive advantage, all these amazing policies of the fore founder of the company are the reason its exceptional growth in the UK market

All the John Lewis partnership companies have a small quantity of preference stock registered on the stock exchange, the only issues is that whatever profit gained from the stocks its first share will be for the owners, and the rest of the remaining profit will be used for the benefits of the business and for the partners. The proportion of profit for each partners and their bonus amount is fixed for each year as fixed by the partnership board.

According to the current manager, the partnership trend has become the first of its kind and helped us to become the leader of the retail market stores.
