Marshall Yamamoto Of Japan

Introduction

Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto was a leading figure of the Second World War as commander of the Japanese naval forces during the first part of the Pacific campaign. He organized and led the surprise attack against Pearl Harbor. He is generally considered a brilliant strategist with the vision sharp (tactician on Pearl Harbor, he quickly realized the potential of aircraft carriers and submarines, he also predicted that the Japanese superiority would last only six months to a year in the Pacific, the Battle of Midway, six months after Pearl Harbor was the turning point). His loyalty to the Empire was unwavering despite his clear perception of the tragic outcome would be that of Japanese ambitions in the Pacific. He died April 18, 1943, when the bomber that carried him and his escort were attacked by an American squadron prevented the trip (Davis, Donald, pp. 29-32).

When Takano Isoroku was born he was adopted in 1916 as an aspiring naval officer from the Yamamoto family and rose to the late thirties of the 20th Century to the highest circles of the Imperial Japanese Navy on. In his capacity, as supreme commander of the U.S. fleet of the Imperial Navy, he planned among other things, the attack on the American naval base at Pearl Harbor and certain other actions which the Navy played a decisive role until his death. He served in the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II and was commander of the Japanese Combined Fleet during the Battle of Midway. It is considered one of the greatest naval strategists of history. He was one of the largest Japanese naval commanders, regarded as an excellent strategist (Davis, Donald, pp. 29-32).

With these utterances, Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, Commander in Chief of the Imperial Japanese Navy, genius and strategist with exceptional skills, creator of the most daring air and naval tactics in combat, is the only major figures to formulate a realistic estimate of the conflict, to which Japan was heading. The evaluation criteria adopted by the great admiral, deeply rational and therefore away from sentimentality and fanaticism, these are to be projected for years to come, the inevitable defeat of his country against the United States. He expressed openly and without fear, his opposition to a future war, but hoped, by the most senior military, backed by the will of the people, fundamentally dominated by a culture born from the syncretism of Shinto and Confucian doctrines. In any case, open hostility, Yamamoto, is not influenced at all by his pessimistic predictions. Under the command of the powerful "Imperial Combined Fleet", with considerable skill, he got a wonderful success, in the Pacific arena. His deeds victorious, even if only related to the first phase of the conflict, is sufficient for it to be regarded, by several military historians, like the great English admiral Nelson (Davis, Donald, pp. 29-32).
