Introduction

Miranda July is a filmmaker, creative person, and writer. Her videos, performances, and web-based tasks have been offered at sites such as the repository of up to date Art, the Guggenheim repository and in two Whitney Biennials. July composed, administered and starred in her first feature-length film, Me and You and every person We Know(2005), which won a special committee prize at the Sundance movie carnival and the Camera d'Or at the Cannes movie Festival. Her fiction has emerged in The Paris reconsider, Harper's, and The New Yorker, and her collection of stories, No One Belongs Here More Than You, (Scribner, 2007) won the open O'Connor worldwide Short Story Award. In 2002 July created the participatory website, learning to love you more, with artist Harrell Fletcher, and a companion book was published in 2007 (Prestel). Synopsis

Me and you and every person We understand is a poetic and penetrating fact of how persons struggle to connect with one another in an isolating and up to date world. Christine Jesperson is a lonesome creative person and e “Eldercab” driver who values her fantastical creative visions to draw her aspirations and things of yearn nearer to her. Richard Swersey (John Hawkes), a freshly single footwear salesman and dad of two boys, is arranged for amazing things to happen. But when he encounters the captivating Christine, he panics.

Life is not so oblique for Richard's seven-year-old Robby, who is having a risqué internet romance with a stranger, and his fourteen- year-old brother Peter who becomes the guinea pig for district young women— performing for their future of romance and marriage. In July's modern world, the mundane is transcendent and everyday people become radiant characters who talk their innermost thoughts, act on secret impulses, and experience honest human instants that at times approach the surreal. They request togetherness through tortured routes and find redemptionin small moments that attach them to someone additional on earth.

Where did the concept for this film originate?

This movie was inspired by the longing July carried around as a child, longing for the future, for someone to find me, for magic to descend upon my life and transform everything. It was also informed by how this longing progressed as July became an adult, slightly more fearful, more contorted, but no less fantastically hopeful.

You have a diverse background in the arts. How did these other mediums announce your filmmaking?
