Fourth Branch of Government

In US political scheme, the fourth branch of government mentions to an assembly that leverages the three parts of governance characterized in the American Constitution (legislative, judicial, and executive). Such assemblies can encompass the press (an analogy to the French Fourth Estate), the persons, and concern groups (Schevitz, 2000).
