Introduction

Management information System offers various benefits to the business firm. These benefits are very efficient and effective and provide coordination among departments; those are reliable and quick, can access to significant documents and data along with less usage of the labour, enhancement and perfection in departmental and organizational techniques, easy to manage day to day activities such as payroll, stock control, accounts and many more, daily assistance within the department and more rapidly contact across the world (Nowduri S., 2011, Pp.1).

Key elements of MIS

The benefits of having Management information system within the organization can save valuable time of the workforce. No need of employees of the company to collect data manually in order to do analysis and filing, rather information can be store promptly and can simply store in to the computer program. Raw material or data create difficulty for employees to do business analysis or to access the data or information. MIS can make easy for the business analysts to create programs in order to access the data quickly and can response to the management queries as soon as possible. Getting faster access to the required information, managers can respond to the problem and can make improve or better decision about the future directions and procedures and competitive advantage and implement them quickly.

We all are living in the time that been changed and working in an information era. Managers have to deal with a huge amount of data, converting that data into valuable information and create a conclusion in order to make quality decisions and leads towards the achievement of business objectives. For the organization is an essential resource like a money or machinery or manpower. Hence, an important element for the organization to in order to survive in this era.

Levels of Management Decision Making

Information system is very useful in different level if management decision. Like K-VIS has a database containing details of vehicles, clients, hire bookings, vehicle collections and returns, vehicle maintenance schedules, etc. Today in the world of everlasting changes, in time and detailed information is the key of success for all and especially for managers. Without information manager would be faced with risk of not fulfilling tasks and roles. Information is the basis for each decision.

For example, Depot Manager - the Depot Manager oversees all the work of the branch, supervises the booking agents, the salespeople, the administrator and the Maintenance Manager. He/she receives a basic salary and bonus based on the overall performance of the branch. In addition, they use data from external sources to determine employee is fulfilling the requirement of bonus or any other benefits that exist and which employee best fit into essential criteria (Sorine, Andrew et al., 1996 Pp. 26).
