If she had been my client, then I would have convinced her to inform about it to her parents. I would follow this decision because this case needs immense support from the parents. If she had nevertheless insisted that she do not want to disclose this to her parents, then I would endeavor to be in touch with the family and inform them about this situation. In this scenario, the matter is beyond confidentiality because if involves a serious issue that will deter the physical and mental health of the patient.

What is an Informed Consent Form and why is it important? What would you include on your own Informed Consent Form regarding confidentiality? Why?

Informed consent form is a form that asks the clients that how the information he or she provides will be store or used. Protecting human participants in research is extremely important, and part of that process is informed consent. Informed consent is an ongoing communication process between research participants and the investigator to ensure participants' comfort. Informed consent allows potential research participants to volunteer their participation freely, without threat or undue coaching. The potential participant is also provided with information an individual would want to know before participating, so an educated decision can be made whether or not to participate. Generally, the purpose of informed consent is to protect each participant's welfare, ensure the participants are voluntary and informed, and promote positive feelings before and after completing a study. I will include all the details that how I would be using the information.

What does the law in your own state say regarding how you need to handle this kind of situation?

Our state makes it compulsory to allow the confidentiality of teenagers to be maintained in the same fashion as adults (Pope & Vasquez, 2011). This must be considered under the boundaries that means, if concealing something provides some harm to the child, and then we must report it.
