Introduction

Motivating and encouraging workforce is an essential task for an organization for the reason to retain quality workforce. It is an imperative element as when employees are motivated on effective ground; they function well and act with full energy and enthusiasm to achieve organizations common goals. In more simple terms, motivation is a compelling force which drives and stimulates human resources to perform well. It gives the feeling of recognition and encouragement which eventually leads to a desired behavior and performance. Major focus is that employees are motivated to satisfy their needs. When people have encouragement, they make effort with liveliness, eagerness, and initiatively. On the other hand, if they are not motivated, they achieve less and give the impression to need more direction even to carry out a simple effort. Level of motivation differs among employees. Some workers are highly motivated; others are skeptical, suspicious, or only humbly motivated.

Stimulus is comprehensive and forceful. It is formed by many diverse factors, and populace varies in their propensity and inclination to them. It is general that employees vary greatly with respect to their needs and requirements and their needs vary with the passage of time. Some distinctive requirements are those linking to corporeal safety, acknowledgement and appreciation accomplishment, power, personal (non work) desires, control and expectedness, and the averting of demotivators for instance poor direction or disruptive regulations and set of laws.

Drive and inspiration matters and differs. However, this reality, possibly and peculiarly, has not always showed the way to administrators and their firms to the end that they have to look for ways to boost human resource motivation.

Difference between older and younger workers

Old employees are termed as Baby Boomers and mature group .They are motivated and encouraged to function by making handsome earnings and having distinctiveness and recognition through their job and service by their firm. They are expected and apt to be faithful and trustworthy to their company in return for increasing augmentation openings. The majority of people belong to Baby Boomer generations grew up in safe hands with having two-parent family circles with protected schools, career safety, and post-war success. Similar to the Veterans, they have a preference over face-to-face contact and lays immense significance to joint effort and team building over individual attainment.
