CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

Background

The main objective of the multinational organisations is to gain profit. The multinational organisations always make put efforts to increase their sales. The future of the multinational organisation can be analysed by assessing the performance of staff with the established goals and standards. The main job of the operational manager in any multinational organisation is to take necessary steps for the betterment of the employee performance, and to eliminate all those factors that confine the staff to perform their tasks at complete potential. In multinational organisations, the primary aim of the manger is to position the organisational objectives and goals at the time of involving in financial activities (Morgan, 2002, p.1023).

The multinational organisations can be involved in exploration and services of natural resources, and they can also be involved in manufacturing in functioning countries. The multinational organisation has been defined in different ways. The most definition of a multinational organisation is that it is an organisation that controls or owns value and involved in foreign direct investment (FDI). Any organisation is said to be a multinational organisation that add activities in several countries. The multinational organisation can also be defined as the enterprise monitor operations in more than a single country (Boddewyn, 2007, p.136).

In the world of business, it is now identified that nearly all organizations are competing in global markets as obstacles to the movement of tarrif and capital walls have been decreased.
