Neoplasm is an abnormal mass of tissue as an effect of neoplasia. Neoplasia (new growth in Greek) is the abnormal propagation of cells. The expansion of neoplastic cubicles surpasses and is uncoordinated with that of the regular tissues throughout it. The expansion continues in the matching extreme fashion even after cessation of the stimuli. It commonly reasons for a portion or tumor. Neoplasms may be benign, pre-malignant (carcinoma in situ) or malignant (cancer). (Borg, 2003)
