Underground Man related to the modern people

In the first part, the underground man doesn't relate with the modern man. The reason was that the underground man was philosophical. He was emotionally confused. In the second part, the relation exists between the modern and underground man because the underground man's philosophy becomes recognizable to the modern man. The underground man defines his emotional problems as the laws of consciousness. The underground man describes his pleasure when he comes to know that people call him scoundrel. He describes how he makes people uncomfortable by his presence. He also explains that he feels emotional conflict with himself. He also explains his emotional conflict with himself by stating that how it feels amused when he is degraded, how he is confused that he is spiteful or not. He also explains his confusion as to why he is sensitive and act immorally at times. He is bound by the law of consciousness, morbid, reflective as he cannot perform according to his own free will. The underground man explains excess consciousness results in inertia and ennui. The intelligent people cannot find a satisfactory cause for their course of action; whereas, the stupid people easily jump to conclusions (Abood 1973, 13).

The Underground Man states the principle of individual freedom in the face of evil and suffering. Solitary thinker, forerunner of the philosophers of arbitrariness of the novels later, he tackles lucidly diabolical man's right even to sink in "Underground" (lair, misery, evil, suffering) and hates the utopia of a just society, free from pain. The story defines the progressive ideas of tricks and lies, says his right to bury himself in his den, to agonize in anguish, bursting in the liver rage. Why man, he argues, does not always act according to a logic utilitarian, and often goes against their own interests, against their happiness or even against his own peace.

The Underground Man is a staggering reasoner. All future rioters Dostoevsky reasoners will of evil. He affirms and denies. He invented the "beats" of a hypothetical partner, of a hypothetical reader, which are actually thinking about his alter ego load of intoxicating contempt toward himself. Of course, the inertia of subsurface exacerbates awareness of their spiritual morass, even if it does nothing to get out. Indeed, pushes to do with pride, to re-float their turpitude. For vanity, it could also be accused of crimes. The underground man passes time to bask in the dark depths of the psyche, to analyze pitilessly its own contradictions, for cutting gestures, behaviors, thoughts.

In sordid and stinking subsoil, the man plunges into a rage cold, poisonous and especially eternal. His disease is incurable one and hypertrophy of consciousness. It is a disease that paralyzes, makes it inert. In magma poison, every action collides with a reaction, every move is a countermove.
