The field of industrial safety and health at work has changed dramatically in recent decades. Some of these changes are: the introduction of new technologies, despite the new risks in the work stations, the new legislation in the field of health and safety at work, the relationship between health, safety, productivity, costs and peer pressure. The sum of these and other factors have transformed the profession of industrial safety and health at work into a necessity for companies.
