The purpose of this project management plan is to better organize our dinner preparation skills and to practice efficient management of projects. The recipe chosen for dinner is Moroccan lamb tagine. A project manager is the person responsible for accomplishing the stated project objectives. Key project management responsibilities include creating clear and attainable project objectives, building the project requirements, and managing the triple constraint for projects, which are cost, time, and quality (also known as scope). (Larson and Richard 2009 56)

The term and title 'project manager' has come to be used generically to describe anyone given responsibility to complete a project. However, it is more properly used to describe a person with full responsibility and the same level of authority required to complete a project. If a person does not have high levels of both responsibility and authority then they are better described as a project administrator, coordinator, facilitator or expeditor. (Frame 2003 102)

Vision

We will make a delicious chinese dinner including Hot and Sour Soup, many appetizers and hopefully 10 main dishes. The date is November 30, 2011.

Project Scope Statement

What are the objectives? To make a delicious meal which looks good and has lots of leftovers?

What kind of activities belongs to this project? Making a list of dishes and ingredients needed for each dish. Estimate time needed. Prepare the dishes. Need WBS for preparing each dishing and shopping for all of them.

What are the limitations? There may be some missing ingredients. Not all the dishes can be spicy. There should be a balance between beef, pork and chicken.
