Distribution of opinion polls findings is a topic that arouses powerful interests. Established democracies take quite a concern in contrasting these opportunities, with this terminology, for example, to prevent publication of such opinion polls in the period instantly before a legislative election, while the US press forms protection of this viewpoint, since it is considered as a fundamental element of freedom of concept in elections. The problem is that opinion polls results - like almost any other way of study - are not just the study of peoples' opinions but may also be an appearance of the opinions of others that are not part of the intended population. That is, people may be affected in how they participate in an election by what they have acquired from an opinion poll (Eisenger, & Brown, 1998, pp 237-256). These opinion polls play a vital role in creating a strong perception on the participants and may alter the decisions of the actual poles in a democratic election. The paper would look into both the issues of whether to publicize opinion polls or not, and would then conclude according to the facts and details provided in the paper. Hence, the publication of any such opinion polls that may distort peoples' perception about the issue being discussed by the poll should be banned, and only the opinion polls coming from an authentic source with reliable methodology should be publicized.

An opinion poll is a scientific study designed to assess the views of a group of people at a particular interval - for example, in the case of a common parliamentary election, to assess the views of the country's voters sometimes this type of study is conducted (Darbishire, 1998, p 96).

The relationship between the media and democracy is controversial. The media always sustain they just “inform the public” while Critiques sustain they apprehend the law, thereby “controlling” our democracy. One possible way in which this happens is via point of view differences. In an opinion poll, an organization (e.g a government party, an opinion polls organization or a media company) issues an advisor area of individuals (usually about 1000) about their point of view on a political subject (Baines, 1999, pp. 403-422). Very often such organizations ask individuals how they would respond to a parliamentary election if there were a legislative election in the near future, and the media use the results to project the exposure of the voters across the country in an event of a parliamentary election.
