Introduction

An organisation is a system, having an established structure and conscious planning, in which people work and deal with one another in a co-ordinated and co-operative manner for the accomplishment of recognised goals.” (Lecture notes)An organisation structure shows the levels of communication to give a rough idea of the size of the business. There are different types of structures with advantages and disadvantages:Tall - This type of structure will have more than 4 levels of structures and span of control is average of 6 people reporting. This causes a distraction in communicating because there are a few people in charge in this long stretching triangle. (Mullins: 2007) Bureaucracy has control in this type of organisation. Role culture is the way they work, good promotional aspects.

Discussion

In Organization Different Assessment and Goals are another reason for resistance to change is that people who will be affected by innovation may assess the situation differently. Often critics voice legitimate disagreements over the proposed benefits of a change. Managers in each department pursue different goals, and an innovation may detract from performance and goal achievement for some departments. (Davidson: Griffin: 2006)

Therefore, Organization needs to turn all these negative consequences to positive by introducing an organisational design named “organic organisation”. An organic organisation is a fluid and flexible design that weakens hierarchy and gives greater importance to coordination and communication within networks of lateral relationships. (Davidson & Griffin, 2006, p.378) This organic form of organisation is characterised by a wide span of control, fewer levels of management and decentralised decision-making. A wide span of control causes a flat organisation which improves communication between top management and employees, gives employees more freedom of action and less layers of management. Moreover, it delegates power and authority throughout the organisation to high potential and skilled staff members.

In Organization, Individuals (e.g. change agents) with sufficient and efficient experience can easily adapt to a changing environment in any organisations; however it is all managers' (including the CEO) responsibility to keep the change remains stabilised by creating acceptance, providing necessary resource support such as regular assistance and feedback and finally making necessary modifications and evaluating results carefully.

Business expansions indicate the growth of a company, and also indicate additional capital will be required.
