An organization is comprised of a group of people who are working together to achieve a set of goals. Organization behavior involves the set of attitudes and actions of the people involved in the organization. Organizational concepts are of paramount importance as they help managers and leaders of the organization to comprehend the complexities that exist within an organization. They also assist in the identification of problems and in determining the best options to address the problems. They are also needed to discern which changes would produce the most significant results. Organizational behavior focuses on the interaction of the human behavior with the organization. Individuals in an organization are not working in isolation. They interact with other individuals of the organization and also with the organization in different ways. The interaction is made with mangers, colleagues, and the policies and rules of the organization. The organization is effected by the presence or absence of these individuals. Therefore, organizational behavior comes out a large way head in determining the success or failure of an organization.

It is vital that the boss or the manager must develop different sets of quality that would be conducive in helping the organization grow and boost apart from keeping the employees content. If the organizational behavior concepts are easily understood by the manager, then he or she would be in a better position to understand the behavior of the employees. Managers are responsible for the behavior of the employees who are working under them, i.e. their subordinates. There are many tasks that the manager is responsible for. These include increasing motivation among the employees to work harder, making sure that the jobs of the subordinates are well designed, solving he conflicts, carrying out an evaluation of their performance and assisting them in achieving the set of goals that have been decided by the organization. Managers need to employ the knowledge they have acquired from the field of organizational behavior to gain a better understanding of their own behavior and thoughts. Managers need to interact with colleagues and other coworkers of the organization to ensure that the goals and objectives of the company are met. To effectively handle these interactions, they must equip themselves with understanding the organization culture, individual differences, group dynamics, intergroup Dynamics, attitudinal processes, and power and political behavior. The interactions are not merely limited to the inside of the organization, but they also need to interact with several other individuals outside the organization such as customers, government officials, partners of the organization and competitors. They need to acquire a special understanding of environment and technology. Understanding the current international issues is also necessary.

In a wide variety of ways, both the organizational behavior and management are interrelated in different ways. The concepts of organizational behavior offer much useful advice to managers in handling their jobs. Managing organization can be made more effective as it provides an efficient set of perceptions.
