Role of Ethical leadership towards Organizational Culture

ABSTRACT

In this paper, will discuss the main problem/issue on which the research is conducted. Secondly, evidence to justify the study was discussed which provided the reason for the conduction of this research. Research questions are provided in this section in order to clarify the problem statement which is to be analyzed. The section provides significance of the study which entails the importance of the study and how the results provided will impact the subject of the topic. A brief overview of literature review was discussed in order to evaluate the research questions provided. Finally there are some recommendations provided. Leadership has many roles, but ethical behavior versus unethical behavior has its rewards and repercussions. The consequences of unethical leadership can reflect in a business or industry in many negative ways.

The Problem or Issue

The problem or issue that will be researched and analyzed will be “Organizational culture is driven by leadership. The problem is that when leadership does not clearly demonstrate ethical behavior, the organization's culture is negatively impacted."

Evidence to Justify the Study

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the problems lying in leadership within the organization that has a negative impact on the organizational culture. There are many types of leadership styles but the unethical behaviors of the leaders have a negative impact on the organizational culture; which creates problem for the employees working in the organization. Organizational culture is the important part for any organization because overall performance of the organization is judge by the type of culture that organization pertains.

The style of traits of a leader are the significant factors that influence the ethical conduct of the followers in an organization, and are responsible for the norms and codes of conduct that guide employees (Trevino & Brown, 2003). If people opt to follow your leadership, they tend to follow that same conduct that you exhibit. The people namely watch the walk; they usually do not listen to the talk. In real life one's behavior depends both on the situation one finds him in, as well as on standards of behavior.
