The work aimed at establishing the validity of the PainCQ survey. Data analysis found support for the validity of the PainCQ version 3. The version of the PainCQ (version 3; k = 44 items) is going through psychometric testing in a multisite study.

Conclusion

The research aimed at developing an effective tool which was useful in both clinical and research purposes. The end product will be beneficial at a clinical level for the evaluation and improvement of care quality. The conclusion also provides benefits with respect to national level. PainCQ is a performance measures which can give benefits in the form of improvement in performance. This could be combined with the measures established by the national organizations.
