Abstract

The study describes the relation between US and Philippines and what are the trade as well as business policies which can be implemented. The country officially known as the Republic of Philippines is a sovereign country located in the South East Asia in western area of Pacific Ocean. The link between the U.S. and the Philippines has strong historical roots. Both countries share important cultural ties, economic and political institutions very similar. In Conclusion, Cultural awareness has penetrated many areas of research and practice, but evaluation lags between these countries.

Introduction

The country officially known as the Republic of Philippines is a sovereign country located in the South East Asia in western area of Pacific Ocean. The Northern side of it lays Taiwan. Furthermore, on the left side lies Vietnam. On the south lies Sulu Sea and Celebes Sea separates it from other islands of Indonesia. Te location of Philippines is prone to earthquakes as its tropical climate is located on the pacific ring of fire. The country is also rich with the largest number of biodiversity and natural resources which makes it the most bio diverse country in the world. This country is divided into three regions which include Mindanao, Luzon and Visayas. The capital of this country is Manila.

Religion

In Philippines more than 90% population is Christian. Among them 80% belong to the Roman Catholic Church while 10% belong to other Christian dominations. These include the Philippine Independent Church, Iglesia ni Cristo, Jehovah's Witnesses, United Church of Christ in the Philippines and the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Philippine sis predominantly Roman Catholic country in Asia and the other is East Timor (Knavala, 2008).

Social Structures

Most people in the country are the descendants of Indonesians and Malays, to move to the archipelago for millennia, as well as Chinese traders first appeared in the Philippines and the Spaniards, who arrived here in the 16th century. The current population of the Philippines is usually divided into three large groups. More than 90% - Christians, ca. 5% - Muslims who also live in lowland areas, mainly in the south. In the mountainous areas are concentrated small nations. A considerable number of mountaineers, retaining their identity and isolation, consider themselves to be Catholics or Muslims. A significant part of the Philippine population is ethnic Chinese. Family and heritage influence their social situation, and not what you do or what they do in the future. Accepting a favor obliges a Filipino to repay with a greater favor, although never with money. Filipinos often show admiration by imitation. Innovation, change, and competition are sometimes considered risky since they could result in failure. Men often make comments about women passing by on the street, and although such comments are often ignored, they can be distracting to some women.

Education

Education is highly valued in the Philippines and is compulsory for 10 years, but a lack of enforcement and other factors affect attendance rates. Public education is free. A variety of private schools exist for those who can afford the ...
