Role of Islam in Shaping Political Order

Introduction

Islam was a religion based on the 7Th century AD by Mohammed, an Arabian merchant form the town of Mecca. The century's premier up to the birth of Mohammed, Christianity has become the superior belief of the Mediterranean and its note was rapidly dispersing to other districts of the world by the foremost trade paths of the era. Mecca was a significant town along these trade paths, playing a foremost function in the flow of items and concepts between the trade schemes of the Mediterranean and Indian Ocean. It should thus, arrive as no surprise that Islam would be very strongly leveraged by the customs of Christianity and Judaism. For demonstration, Mohammed asserted that he has travelled by the angel Gabriel, who acquainted him that he was to be the messenger of God. Abraham, Moses, and Jesus are all advised significant Prophets in Islam, Muslims even asserted that Abraham travelled to Mecca and established Kabba there, whereas, there is no evidence of this happening in Christian and Judaic sources.

The ideology of Islam has met great resistance throughout the world and will always remain a prime security concern for western and non-Islamism governments. Nationalism, socialism, and liberalism have worn out their ability to mobilize militant opposition to existing regimes, in Central Asia. This leaves fearful acts of political violence and destabilization to the weal legitimated and repressive regimes on post-soviet Central Asia (Al-Ashmawy, 1994).

Islam is Central Asia arrived from the region of Turko-Persian civilization that is to the north of present Iran and further extends in the west from the Caspian Sea to China's Xinxiang province in the east. Only Iranian and Turkic speaking peoples of the region embraced it while becoming the dominant region in the ninth century. 10th century witnessed Central Asia as the great centers encompassing Islamic learning and culture (Mainuddin, 2007).

Political Order - Critical Analysis

It has been long since the cold war between the communism and the west has ended but many still feel that a new type of conflict has emerged concerning Islam and the west. Earlier, there use to be threat of nuclear conflicts which have been replaced by the ideological and cultural resist between the two characters that lacks the ability to understand each other, the tension between the two odds is not new and is expected to remains there. Islam has been a major factor in global politics but is not realized by mainstream western political science. This thought altered as a result of Islamic resurgence that followed the 1979 Iranian revolution and changed dramatically followed by the September 2001 terrorist attacks (McCormick, 2010). The debates about political Islam emerged as a new debate and it in international relations and the inquiries arose as to why a distinct political system be created for countries that fall within a common religion.
