Politics: Representation of Interest Matrix

Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of “Politics” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Politics” and its relation with “Representation of Interest Matrix”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “Politics” and tries to gauge its effect on “Representation of Interest Matrix”. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for “Politics” and tries to describe the overall effect of “Politics” on “Representation of Interest Matrix”.

Introduction

Public Policy is an action to address a social group to achieve goal. Public Policy also directs the Public Administration which faces discipline policies, and political science. Public authorities within the society designs implementation techniques and cover other disciplines such as law, the economy, the sociology and even engineering and psychology. In a rule of law, public policy should be the translation of laws on a subject (regulation, education, social development, health, public safety, infrastructure, communications, energy, agriculture, etc).

They should seek to achieve the goals outlined in the policy paper. The main areas of public policy analysis are:

Benefits and impact on society.

Social development.

The economy, infrastructure and expansion of communication routes, telecommunications, social development, health and public security, among others.

Annual development plans, five-year, etc.

Annual budgets of states and regional and municipal administrations

The civil service or the bureaucratic system and its planning

International treaties and declarations of principles of individual states or regional groupings united: United Nations, Latin America, European Union, etc., with an emphasis the social cohesion and governance for integrated development or updates. Concerning to Public policy decisions there are some issues there are five fundamental characteristics of public problems (Leon, 1987).

Interdependence

The public issues of an area often affect other areas problems. Public problems are not independent they are part of a system of external conditions that cause dissatisfaction to different segments of the community. Difficult problems can be solved using an analytical approach (i.e., an approach that separates the problems of various elements or parts), and it is rare that a problem can be defined and determined independently of others (Laswell, 1970).

Artificiality

The public problems are possible only when human beings make judgments about the coexistence of alter some problematic situation. Public problems are the product of subjective human judgments that are socially constructed, maintained or changed socially. They do not exist separately from individuals or groups who have defined, which means they are not natural states of society.

Dynamics

There are many different solutions to a problem as defined by this problem. The solutions of the problems can become obsolete even if the problems referred to are still in place. Therefore, to analyze the public policy process it is useful to decompose the object of study in a series of stages through which a public issue can happen.

Setting objectives and priorities

The explicit setting of objectives is often overlooked or avoided in the process of making public policy. So it is necessary to make a process to develop and keep them active.
