Introduction

Stephenie Meyer was born on December 24, 1973 in Hartford, Connecticut. Meyer grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and was one of six children. She met her husband, Christian, in high school, but they did not marry until she graduated from Brigham Young University. Meyer has three sons. Meyer's started her writing career in Young Adult fiction. In 2005, she published her first book, Twilight, about a teenager who falls in love with a noble vampire. Meyer has also published four sequels to Twilight and one adult novel, The Host (Meyer, 2005).

Some old fans of the author and novel, often speak about "true love" and fan-girls' dreams of their own Edward or comparison of their partners with him. As a matter of fact, this vampire (Edward / Bella) relationship does not work in real life. Some of the enthusiastic young female fans might not be able to detect abuse if they think that their boyfriends are just as extreme as Edward. Bella, after her boyfriend leaves her act crazy as a zombie. She is nothing without him. This couple is not portrayed as target-oriented and ambitious for the future. In addition, she jumped off a cliff and dealt with dangerous men looking for prey, is another piece likely to be hit. When Bella eventually gave birth, her former lover, Jacob falls in love with her child. Again, a grownup man falling in love with the child is susceptible. What sense does it make? She would be stressed at 7 to be with this man. It is simply revolting.
