Managing Diversity in Workplace Cultural Diversity in workplace is becoming more and more prevalent. The companies in all industries are encouraging minorities, women, older workers and people with disabilities and foreign workers to join white men in workplace. The following analysis will focus on these groups and how companies are being encouraged to participate in workplace in constant expansion. Even if affirmative action is dismantled, diversity of workforce is clearly here to stay. (Waller 2006)

Many companies now span globe and / or outsource certain aspects of your day to day business, which makes it important for cultural diversity at top of each list of companies. Although there is no exact definition of cultural diversity, some say that is how people differ as to affect their organizational experience in terms of performance, motivation, communication and inclusion. Therefore, for companies to compete around world have to deal with cultural diversity within their companies. (Williams 2007)

Currently, global economy of administrative officers is essential to be able to structure an environment of mutual support and predictability to allow opportunity for individuals and organization to learn and grow. Organizations should have mandatory sensitivity training as part of orientation of new hires for education of cultural diversity can be addressed before employment begins and continue throughout employment. With world getting smaller, it is imperative that people be aware of other nationalities and their customs and polite to someone is not out of ignorance offensive.

Different Business owners and managers, as said according to experts, still have to maintain or increase efforts to recruit and promote minorities in year 2010 and beyond. (Hunter 2007)That's basically because it has diverse workforce and effectively manage is simply good business for different companies.

In this type of atmosphere, which provides team effort for employees who work for company's mission? Even when there is sincere commitment to fight for diverse workforce, often need to work to change deeply rooted prejudices and stereotypes. The desire for this to happen must come from top down, if they are subordinate to really get message of importance. Unfortunately, many senior managers are reluctant to change or alter system itself as her career flourished. Backlash by white men is too often byproduct of diversity initiatives. In recent years, many white men have taken stand against affirmative action programs and diversity initiatives claiming reverse discrimination.

Competitive advantage is being best, market leader at time and beat competition at their own game. It also means being first choice for customer or consumer and company or organization has positioned itself in market to ensure good impression with discrete set of buyers.

Companies are increasingly aware of importance of knowledge as source of competitive advantage, and are looking for strategies and structural changes to improve their learning and knowledge management capabilities.
