Abstract

In this paper, we have explored the global potential for integrating wind power and desalination technologies in order to increase water supplies. However, this step has been taken as the water scarcity in the world has been increased at larger. The process of desalination offers the conversion of abundant salt water in to the fresh water and Desalination processes allow for the conversion of abundant salt water to relatively scarce freshwater and thus symbolize vast probability for water scarcity alleviation. The requirement of high energy limits the useful exploration through which energy resources can be renewable and can be linked in to the system of desalination for future sustainable production of fresh water. Moreover, this paper comprises of desalination and wind technologies which involves growth trends, costs and up-and-coming advance technologies. Hence, wind survey has been done and studies which result in the suitable solution regarding this issue. The solution which has been resulted will overcome the shortage of fresh water.

We live in the blue planet where water plays an important role for the survival of the humans, animals and plants. However, earth comprises of only 0.3% of the water which can be used for drinking. Recently the scarcity of clean and unpolluted water has been increased. Chemical pollution by sewage from industry and agriculture, sewage loaded with household detergents and laundries, as well as the infiltration of toxic substances has already reached the water table. Water supplier therefore faced with serious problems regarding compliance of the pollution. Governments all over the world are therefore responsible for meeting these demands through finding probable and practical solutions.

As we know that 97% of the earth is covered with ocean water, for this desalination I the best solution for converting the ocean water in to the drinking water. In the recent report by the expert Heather & Peter Desalination is only one piece of the puzzle for the management of water, but not a solution to the problem. Desalination of sea water, also called “salting” is a method of treating salt water or brackish water to make it suitable for drinking or irrigation.
