Prayer Should Be Allowed In Public Schools

Although the public schools, schools without prayer, in most schools, replaced by a minute of silence in prayer. The statement "Separation of church and state" and atheism has made it possible to remove prayer from schools. I do not agree with the constitution of the U.S. removal of this law school. I believe that prayer should be restored in schools, because children in the modern management of society need religion.

In February 1963 the U.S. Supreme Court heard the first case the amendment, Abington Township School District V. Schempp. This case was better known as a man who "kick God and prayer out of school." This case is a judicial cleanse 1949 Pennsylvania law that provides for mandatory devotional Bible reading in public schools of the earth. In June the court ruled against the village of Abington School District. "Although this was not the first case involving religious expression to reach the Supreme Court, Abington Township School District V. Schempp was the impetus, perhaps the most abusive debate about religion and its place in our school before this time. This is a complicated case raised constitutional and social issues rather than the other cases preceding it. There were several instances when he heard this, including the Supreme Court in the case similar to Maryland through the famous atheist Madalyn Murray, who opposed the prayer and Bible reading in public schools (Corbett, 1995).

For some people in Congress, it raises serious questions about when the prayer is or is not appropriate. The representative of Oklahoma have made this comment in the Congressional Digest on November 30, 1994: "It was perfect for the Rev. James David Ford to offer this prayer, but it is our prayer for our children not allowed to speak at school." Since there has been amended to allow or prohibit prayer, many schools have gone ahead and read verses from the Bible and prayer allowed in the classroom. Another area of dispute was the presence of religious symbols in schools. Schools, such as Livingston went to court over the wearing or carrying of objects such as kirpans Sikhs. All these examples point to the fact that there are serious differences on the issue of religion in schools.

Religion in public schools has been around for many years. In fact, it began during the colonial period in the history of the United States, where schools were considered by the division of the Church, so their curriculum contained religion. Of course, their school didnÕt much or perhaps any Muslims or Jews, but also how it differs from a small town in Oklahoma, a country where the population is entirely Christian faith? Does this mean that schools can not practice a religion, in which the total population is Christian? ArenÕt these students are deprived of a religious person? These questions can be asked a lot.
