Introduction to Article

Discriminatory issues on the basis of age of potential employees, is becoming a major public concern in recent times. Employers for large, medium and small companies are concerned about the age of employees they hire and hold certain prejudiced behaviours about them. Ageism is a psychosocial problem, which is detrimental to the emotional, psychological and mental well being of the employees experiencing discrimination in the workplace (Pettigrew, Meertens, 1995).
