Introduction

The steady increase in number of patients developed pressure ulcer in the post operative care unit in her hospital, indicated the author to evaluate their practices in skin care. The cause for the development of pressure ulcers, the merits of using assessment tool to identify skin risks and the preventive methods used by their units to improve the skin integrity were included in the evaluation process.
