Human development comprises of numerous theory's that assist us to develop a viewpoint on why, how, what and where we are in our lives (Atherton, 2005). This term paper is founded on a case study of a combined family called the Jones's. Interpretation of each member of the families' development has been established utilizing human development theorist from the next four theoretical positions; psychodynamic, cognitive, behavioral and ecological. The concept of Sustainable Human Development, involves a combination of economic factors, legal, philosophical and anthropological makes it hard to be synthesized (Lear, 2005). This problem becomes even more complex determining whether it is a concept of legal nature can be classified as a Human Right, or whether it is a political claim. However, the development of doctrine on the subject leaves foresee the existence of a right, customary existence of at least related to economic development aimed at capacity building human and social, based on respect for the environment and generational escalation vocation.
Psychodynamic
Throughout the case study all five family members of the Jones's are categorized in Sigmund Freud and Erick Erickson's psychodynamic views on development (Aspen Institute, 2008).
From E. Erickson's viewpoint, development only takes location in peoples inhabits when the environment locations new demands on them and new confrontations then originate in their inhabits which they do well (or not) in overcoming (Morris & Mailto, 2002). Erickson recounts this method utilizing eight stages that focuses on jobs that should be carried out to effectively navigate through to the next stage and dispute). According to Erickson, throughout the first year of life, young children proceed through the stage of developing believe or mistrust (Morris & Maisto, 2002). Sam (the least old in the Jones family) was hospitalized in her first year of life. This know-how could have formed mistrust in her parents and environment which displayed in Sam's reluctance to doze at night. (Aspen Institute, 2008))
Cognitive
Three of Piaget's cognitive stages of development, (which concern to a person's age and proficiency to realize and assimilate new information) (Boden, 1994) correspond with the age's of the Jones's.
