Introduction

Are we effectively punishing our most vile and devastating criminals? I believe that some improvements are needed; the death penalty should be legalized in all States. The United States must use the death penalty because it is economical deterrence and disabling effects. Although life without parole sentences is a real alternative to the death penalty in the public interest, which is decided, as constitutional, is humane, and allows plenty of room to convict(Schabas 20).

Innocent people have not been fulfilled either. Offenders on death row were convicted of violent, horrific crimes and murders, and do not constitute "an exemplary citizens." there was not a case where prisoners sentenced to death was acquitted posthumously. Prisoners whose innocence is proved while in detention, the emergence of more frequently, every year. Since 1973 till 2009, 98 people were released because of innocence(Keith 404).
