Professional development plan

Professional Development is a process by which man is able to maintain the quality and level of their professional skills throughout their lives. To remain professional, you need constant professional development of personality. Professional development requires conscious, directed, active learning of human. Such training is different from all other forms because it was not assigned above.

Professional development refers to any field of activity like a teacher or a manager, consultant or psychologist. That's one of the definitions of professional development: a systematic reinforcement, improvement and expansion of knowledge, development of personal qualities necessary for the development of new professional knowledge and skills required to perform duties throughout the work the employee. Professional development should not be a duty or a formality, but a way of thinking, a useful habit (Bruce, 2005).

Development and leadership professional challenges

The leader development is a driver for change and organizational success because it provides an opportunity to strengthen skills, and thus align their own knowledge and behavior with the values and vision of the organization towards achieving its goals. The leader, like every individual, has areas to develop continuously, it must identify and understand. To the extent that the leader acquires a self-learning, we will nurture the discipline and skills to contribute to the vision of the organization. Leader development must have an open mind and a continuous learning against new ideas. A strategic plan for development of leaders is an asset that will help the capacity building of officials and result in personal growth and organization. On the other hand, it is necessary that the leadership development plan is kept current with new trends in leadership to be more effective. Leaders must take a strategic objective, both personal and organizational self-development and teach (Joseph, 2003).

This is the challenge of leading the twenty first Century to the Era of Knowledge: to motivate and integrate to achieve their main asset, a different human rejects the last century, highly qualified and competitive, which alone cannot achieve the goals of the organization. Twenty first Century leader must linear with several challenges. Among them, there are six main factors according to Ducker, who has the knowledge worker and that leaders must face, these are:
