Gangs in Prison Are a Major Contributor to Violence in Prison

Introduction

The study is based on providing research design for a crucial topic 'Gangs in Prison Are a Major Contributor to Violence in Prison'. Violence in prisons is increasing due to formation of gangs that are involved in illegal activities within the prison. In this research study the weaknesses of the prison authorities will be analyzed as they are found unable to manage the prisoners in the prisons. The prisoners should be made well aware of rules and regulations formed by the authorities and the authorities should make them follow it accordingly. The gangs that are formed within the prisons are the major source of violence and this need to be stopped. The study will be beneficial for the prison authorities as well as the law enforcement authorities in maintaining effective control and in selection of those strategies that will encourage positive behavior in all the existing inmates of the prisons.
