Pros and Cons of Abortion

Introduction

Abortion is a practice that has several years in the making in developed countries like the U.S. (in these abortion is legal) and underdeveloped countries like Venezuela, Colombia and Chile (the practice is illegal.) The last years the number of abortions at rates greatly increased in America, and is that abortion is a means women come, as it is a quick practice and may be a possible solution to the problem of being in a state or pregnant. But be clear, there are two types of abortion, natural abortion, i.e. reaction of the body's own mother, who is the one who expels the embryo, abortion intentionally, trigger these failures by the mother and the abortionist. There are many arguments that have been broadcast repeatedly, especially in countries where, for any reason, try to seek the legalization of abortion or extend it where it already has legalized some form. In this paper we will argue on the pros and cons of the abortion with some statement for and against the abortion in our society.

Discussion

Abortion is inhuman and should be not legalized. Therapeutic abortion should be performed when the pregnancy puts women at risk of death or a serious and permanent damage.

In this case the term "therapeutic" is used to confuse. "Therapy" means to cure and in this case abortion does not cure anything. Currently, medical science ensures that virtually no circumstances in which agency should choose the life of the mother or child. That conflict belongs to the history of obstetrics. As early as 1951, Congress of the American College of Surgeons said that "everyone who does not know a therapeutic abortion or modern methods for treating complications of pregnancy or unwilling to take the time to use them." The dreaded cases of pregnancy “ectopic” or that progress outside the womb are being managed medically with increasing ease. On the other hand, the Code of Medical Ethics states that in the case of pregnancy complications should be provided for efforts to save mother and child and never have as output the premeditated death of one of them.

It is brutal and inhumane to allow a woman to have a child through rape, therefore, for these cases, abortion should be legalized so-called "sentimental".

First of all pregnancies that follow a rape are extremely rare. In the U.S., for example, rape is a serious problem; approximately 78,000 cases were reported in 1982. This is more important if one takes into account that 40% to 80% of rapes go unreported.
