Descriptive Vividness

The significance of the study adequately described the definitive relationship between diet and breast cancer. Although, there is a controversial relationship between these two factors but the main idea was to assess the women's perception and attitude regarding diet and breast cancer. The purpose of the study had definite descriptions because an analysis represented women who explored personal meanings related to food, factors that influence dietary change, and, experiences with food in relation to breast cancer. The interpretations of the quotes proved to be quite helpful in understanding the themes because it contained respondent's actual response which was necessary for this study (Beaver, 1999).

Methodological Congruence

Adequate Documentation of the Participants

Participants provided their clear responses in the treatment and post-treatment phases. In both phases, participants shared their different experiences and perceptions. The selection of the sample was logical because it had six women who had different demographics also varied in the level of disease. There was a reasonable rationale for the sample selection as the respondents have different backgrounds and lifestyles. There is no doubt that researcher described the location and context quite clearly enough in making generalize findings for the study. The study mentioned interview procedure which took place at a convenient time, and, location, that too in a participant's home (Burns, 2007). Careful attention to Procedural Approach

The theoretical or philosophical base of the study got identified because the data regarding breast cancer represented various sources. Lot of research has already taken place in the past regarding breast cancer patients. The underlying assumptions stated were congruent with the data collection procedures because all the theoretical issues in the study were met properly during the interviews with the respondents. Sufficient trust got established with the participants because researchers assured maintaining confidentiality of the data in the beginning and gave respondents the right to stop the interview at any time. There was an open dialogue and conversational approach to the interview. The reason was an open-ended approach for the interview and required them to provide detailed responses. The research questions were stated, and, the researcher asked exploratory questions from the respondents, because they wanted to obtain maximum information about them.

The data collection was clearly described sufficiently because it provided a detailed analysis of the interview procedure. The researcher conducted the one-on-one interview with each respondent which created an opportunity for detailed responses extracted from the respondents. The study also required to obtain detailed analysis for the correct interpretation of the interview. The approach was same for each respondent because the researcher had one objective of collecting information from Breast Cancer patients. The method of access to the participants was certainly logical. The researcher adopted a correct approach of visiting each respondent at their home in order to make it convenient for them to provide fair enough responses. This is the reason why researcher gave a lot of priority to the convenience of the respondents before visiting ...
