Quality Of Life

Introduction

Quality of life (QoL) is central to human existence, to question whether the QL and what variables affect QL was a center of intellectual debate and research since the early philosophers. Current Research in QL includes many disciplines and subjects, including psychology, sociology, medicine, nursing, pharmacology, economics, education, architecture, geography, business marketing, art, income, employment and social and environmental problems (Albrecht, 1999).

In 1976 released Campbell, Converse, and Rogers a book that became a classic in the quality of American life. Campbell et al. QL described as vague and ethereal entity, something that many people are talking about but nobody has a clear idea of ??what it is. Jobs Al Campbell et al. inspired researchers to seek a precise definition of QL and develop tools to measure QL. A simple glance at the numerous publications in recent years devoted to the study of QL to give readers a clear idea of ??how very powerful this issue was both basic and applied research. In 1975, "was the quality of life" term adopted as "keywords", according to physician Subject Headings U.S. National Library of Medicine classification of scientific research in a computerized search system, MEDLINE. Since then, the numerous books and other publications exclusively devoted to investigation and measurement of QL.
