The Area of Personal Change Sought

The area that I have chosen for the personal change is quitting to smoke.

Why I Desired This Change?

On weekends, when I poked around in my box of books, I suddenly found a book in my shelf, which was given to me a few years ago by a good friend of mine. The book was "Finally Non smoking" by Allen Carr.

My friend, from whom I received this book, was also a chain smoker and he succeeded, after many failed attempts with the help of this book. Since it has helped him and he knew that I wanted to quit with smoking, he brought me the book over with the words:"Try it a try with this book, it helps!"

Why I have not read it then and quit smoking? I do not remember. Maybe I was too indecisive, or was it the skeptic in me? I cannot say more now. I saw that he has done it successfully, and he asked me again and again.

What Prevented Me from Doing So in the Past?
