The study is related to rapid response team and acute care nurse practitioners. In context of acute care nurse practitioners, the goals of a rapid response team include prompting recognition of a patient's clinical decline in order to respond and intervene early, avoidance of the need for patient transfer to an intensive care unit (ICU).
