Introduction of Project

Community service plays a vital role for the development of the character of peoples socially in the society. It creates an attraction of the youth of society towards social works and helps them in understanding the importance of community or social works for any society or community by providing them a chance to practice this with the help of its community. It is also a very healthy activity for any community. In this project we considered “Rehabilitation of Natural Disasters' as a project and try to achieve its goals with the help of community and by focusing some rules and method described below.

Basic Concept or Background

Bible

Bible considered as unique as it claims certain things which other do not. This claim is from God. Unlike the some books that make the claim, claim of Bible is true. This concept called “inspiration”. The Christian Bible contains sixty six books. These books divided into chapters; these chapters divided into verses. That's why, if you wanted to locate a reference John 3:16, then you just open the book “Bible” of John, then turn to the chapter 3, and then find verse 16 to get a quote.

Church

Church is the place which used by the Christians to practice its religion. It considered as the very respective place for Christians. A person titled as “father” considered as the head of this place that take cares all issues related to this building.

Emergency Operations

By considering the panic and importance of health and safety departments in an emergency, every large city always establish a department that plays an active role in an emergency or define proper sequence of operations to its departments related to health and safety in case of emergency.

Disasters

Disaster is an incident that differs according to economical, geographical and political situations of the countries or areas. It can be human generated or natural. It is the event that affects industry, life of human and property negatively. According to Quarantelli, disasters typically provide main results and provide irreversible changes to ecosystem, human societies and their environment (Quarantelli, 1998, P 23-28). Disasters are relatively highly disruptive, sudden and time limited in most cases (however its effects may be very long).

Narrative of the city and church

To describe the narrative of the city we select city New Orleans as an example and try to discuss our point of view by using the history of disasters (hurricane), techniques used to avoid it and its rehabilitate process. Here we also discuss the devastating disaster named as Hurricane Katrina and the performance of the church in its rehabilitation and other community services.

History of disaster (Hurricane)

Hurricane Katrina considered as the memorable storm in the history of New Orleans, and it has also its trajectory across the state of Pelican was far away from uniqueness.
