Religious Beliefs of the Puritans in New England

Introduction

Puritans were constituents of a devout and communal action of the 1500's and 1600's. The action started in England and disperses to America where it substantially leveraged communal, political, and devout institutions. Such devout denominations as Congregationalism and Unitarianism evolved from Puritan beliefs.

Discussion

Puritan convictions evolved from the teachings of devout reformers, for example John Wycliffe and John Calvin. Wycliffe was a well renowned lecturer of beliefs at Oxford University throughout the 1300's. Calvin was a foremost of the Reformation, the devout action of the 1500's that provided increase to Protestantism.
