Risk Management

Introduction

Risk is the degree of likelihood that the likely outcomes of a specific course of activity will occur. And management is the designing, coordinating, premier and commanding of human and other resources to accomplish organizational goals effectively and competently. If we blend the two terms simultaneously we have risk administration. The term risk management is applied in a number of varied disciplines. Persons in the areas of statistics, economics, psychology, communal sciences, biological science, engineering, toxicology, schemes analysis, procedures study, and conclusion theory, to title a couple of, have been addressing the area of risk management.

To numerous communal analysts, political leaders, and academics it is the administration of ecological and atomic risks, those technology-generated macro-risks that emerge to threaten our existence. To bankers and financial agents it is the complicated use of such techniques as currency hedging and interest rate swaps. To protection purchasers and sellers it is coordination of insurable dangers and the reduction of insurance costs. To clinic administrators it may mean 'quality assurance. To safety professionals it is decreasing accidents and injuries. In my own words risk Management is characterized as the process of considering risk (risk investigation) and evolving ample strategies to organize it. In other phrases, schemes means risk can be transferred, reduced, accepted or avoided. Eliminating and managing risk can be achieved by having adequate internal control in place such as implementing or improving security controls and procedures this will be discussed in great details over the next few paragraphs (Jones, 2006).
