Introduction

Racial discrimination is the use of institutional authority to refuse or award people and group of people privileges, admiration, symbol and resources based on their skin color. Racial discrimination in force makes Whiteness a favored way of being creature. By whiteness it is referred thao the civilization, language, customs and the skin color connected frequently with Europeanisms. However, the initiative brought about a controversy among the public whether the reforms are appropriate and the effect they will have to the society in general. The ideology that exemplifies the attitude toward education was a structural functionalistic perspective one. It was meant to change the operations of the schools. The perspective aimed at giving the mandate of controlling schools to the provincial department of education from the school boards.

In the preceding decade, the demographics of Canadian Population have changed drastically and Canada has turn out to be a house of countless people from diverse parts of the world. These demographics are mirrored mostly in urban and suburban areas. The consequence of this demographic change has changed learner population in Canadian schools. Now Canadian schools have learner, reflecting a variety of liabilities, ethnicities, races, sexual orientation, language, culture, religion, life expectation, and economic/social power. It is essential to note down from the outset that there is no widespread solution or definite rules for countering to these diversities in our schools or classrooms and research on the best practice is restricted. The issue has its own complications and for some sense it is fraught with restlessness, complexity and anxiety.
