Introduction

Abraham Maslow was the American scientist and he developed many important theories in the field of psychology. The most famous theory written by him was the Maslow hierarchy of needs. According to him a person has various basic needs that must be satisfied. Some of these needs involve the self actualization, the safety need, the love needs and the self esteem. The Abraham Maslow believed that self-actualization is the most important need of every individual. According to the author, a person performs its duties according to the potential he or she gets from the self actualization. The concept of self-actualization involves that the person has needs of physiological and also the needs to be loved by others. A person has the need to have the feeling of belongingness and the attainment of basic need. Self actualization plays an important role in the management of employees in the organizations. Along with other management systems, the companies are increasingly applying the concepts of self actualization because it has very good impact upon the performances (Abraham Harold Maslow, 1965). It also plays an important role in the personality development of the people and particularly it is helpful for the personality development of the employees.

Abraham Maslow also made the great contribution in the humanistic psychology that helps to understand the in depth concept in the personality development and the role that self actualization play in the business managements. He has proposed the importance of various basic needs. According to him the people have the needs for the safety and they require that their job remain maintained and they get their safe career. They also require that the job they get is full of safety and security without any hazardous concerns and they work in a safe and sound environment (Ceylan C., 2012). Maslow hierarchy also proposed the need for the self esteem that requires that managers must develop the level of encouragement among the employees so that they can develop the appropriate teamwork for the effectiveness of their performances that in return benefits the organizations. If the person is given the equal importance in the teams, it increases their level of satisfaction and this furthers their efforts and in this manner the targets and the objectives of the companies are achieved. And in many cases the targets are achieved more than that the desired levels. The Maslow's theory of self actualization has found to a positive aspect in the businesses if it is implemented in the right manners. It is the source of creating motivations in the employees. Human resource departments in today's modern organizations are playing their important roles in the developments of positive self actualization in the organizations that have ultimate impact upon the people.
