Abstract

There are many questions that researchers are trying to investigate, on the controversial issue of child sexual abuse. Scientists are exploring various issues and dimensions. This paper examines the controversial conclusions and findings on these issues. What is the specific definition of sexual abuse of children? Is there more than one meaning of the sexual abuse of children? What are the short-term effects of child abuse? What are the long-term effects? This paper discusses the answers to these questions, and please keep in mind that the issue of sexual abuse of children from birth to the time period includes pre-adolescence.



Introduction

"Children are at risk of sexually from the time they are abused birth through adolescence, with the greatest risk occurring between the ages 7:00 to 13:00 ... Children are never responsible for sexual abuse, adults are the ones responsible" (McClendon, 1991st page 1). There are many arguments over the precise meaning of the sexual abuse of children. Therefore there is no clear answer to the meaning of these words. There are many theories, including the different meanings of the sexual abuse of children. My first impression was that the importance of the sexual abuse of children is a parent hitting a child or sexually hurt, which most likely would be a young girl, about six years old or younger was. Then I realized that a boy can easily be abused so easily sexually, as a rule at the age of about six years old or younger. But what the exact name and / or importance was the sexual abuse of children? To that extent, where my research came up with clarification was needed at this time. The definition of sexual abuse of children is "The introduction of sexually inappropriate acts or acts with sexual overtones of one or more persons who derive authority through ongoing emotional bonding with the child" (McClendon, 1991. Page 1).
