1 INTRODUCTION

Shield Security Services Limited was founded in 1986 by Adil Hadi who is currently the Managing Director. The company operates from its head quarters in Farnborough, Hampshire, United Kingdom and provides tailor- made highly professional security services. Shield has about 105 employees in the company which slight decrease by 10 in the number since November, 2009. The annual turnover for the company in the prior year was £3.2m and an estimated market share of 0.1455%.

The company operate in two (2) main business segments: Static Guarding and Mobile Security Patrol. The Static Guarding segment is the principal service offered by the company. In this segment the company offers a comprehensive and superior service which is personally assessed. This is tailor- made to meet each client's individual special requirements. Security officer or a team of offices on client site always operate to comprehensive assignment instructions drafted and approved by the client.

The Mobile Security Patrol segment provides separate security services on unoccupied premises for clients who may not wish to employ static security officers. These may have smaller premises or buildings and offices that might be supplemented by their own CCTV system and/or alarms. The Mobile Patrol service has a principal function to provide a fast and reliable backup to any officer on static guarding duties, or another mobile inspector in event of an accident or emergency. Another function is to unlock and secure clients premises to relieve them from the routine tasks of unlocking and locking their premises at the start and end of a working day.

Shield security has introduce a new service which is Security Consultancy where it adopt a proactive approach to security issues in risk assessment and surveys, crises management, business continuity planning, security design, evaluation training, seminars and workshops.

Shield Security Services also believes in putting something back into the community and to that end, the company has partnerships with a wide variety of community sectors and community groups.
