Should animals be kept in zoos?

Introduction

Animal caging and various organizations towards the care and protection of animals not yet found a solution to the problem and it seem that zoos ignore the demands. Few zoos can meet the basic needs of animals, like any living being need: space for leisure, freedom, pleasant food and pleasant surroundings. Most animals choose to live in a cage a thousand times smaller than its natural habitat, to endure shouts and blows of the visitors who see them only as a spectacle, forgetting that they are living beings like us. Of course, that animals resent and suffer when deprived of its wildlife become neurotic, one can see their misery and stress see her sad and lazy walk from one side to another, their movements clumsy and self-mutilation.

Most zoos aims to educate visitors about the animals and promote conservation of wildlife. To be fair, some zoos make an honest attempt to educate visitors about the lifestyles and relationships of the animals, their habitat and the threats they routinely face in the wild. They hope that zoo visitors leave with a greater respect for wild creatures and beings desire to become involved with wildlife and environmental issues (Rees). Unfortunately, most visitors leave the zoo without learning much of anything, in fact, most public of zoos is unable to identify even the most common species of wildlife have noticed. This observation suggests that caged animals may be a barrier to education.

Some advocates say zoo that you are about species conservation measures, but is more than clear that, under these noble purposes, zoos exploit animals to attract visitors. Zoos tend to educate the public to preserve and conserve the species, but all they do is create a mindset for exploitation, confinement and deprivation of animals for the sake of entertainment. ...
